Loving cups – superfood chocolate treats for Valentine’s Day

Instead of the same old highly processed chocolate treats why not show your loved one you care by whipping up some of these deliciously decadent raw chocolate treats.

They’re easy to make and bursting with the feel good factor and superfoods to enhance that loving feeling.

Ravish me rose and goji cups

Ingredients

  • Half cup virgin coconut oil
  • Half cup raw cacao powder
  • 4 dessert spoons maple syrup (or other sweetener)
  • 1 vanilla pod (de-seeded)
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 1 teaspoon lacuma powder
  • Himalayan pink salt
  • Handful goji berries
  • Culinary rose water

To make the goji crush

Rehydrate the goji berries for several hours in a little culinary rose water until juicy, then blitz in your food processor. Set aside.

To make the raw chocolate

1 Melt the coconut oil in a bowl over hot water.

2 Add the cacao, maca, vanilla seeds & maple syrup and stir thoroughly until smooth & silky

3 Spoon a little of the mixture into mini paper cups and refrigerate until solid

4 Spoon a little of the goji crush on top of the chocolate base

5 Cover with the remaining cacao mix and sprinkle lightly with Himalayan salt

6 Refrigerate until ready to eat.

 

Amorous almond chocolates

Ingredients

  • Half cup virgin coconut oil
  • Half cup raw cacao powder
  • 4 dessert spoons maple syrup (or other sweetener)

  • 1 vanilla pod (de-seeded)
  • 1 Teaspoon maca powder
  • 1 teaspoon lacuma powder
  • Himalayan pink salt
  • Almond butter (or other nut butter)

Method
1 Melt the coconut oil in a bowl over hot water
2 Add the cacao, maca, vanilla seeds & maple syrup. Stir thoroughly until smooth and silky
3 Spoon a little of the mixture into mini paper cups and refrigerate until solid
4 Spoon a little almond butter on top of the chocolate base
5 Cover with the remaining cacao mix and sprinkle lightly with Himalayan salt
6 Refrigerate until ready to eat.
